The traditional settlement "Anatoli" (sunrise) took its name by the first morning sun rays that flood the village. As a settlement with a long history, it is said that the outskirts of the area were inhabited by the 2nd Byzantine period. The village of Anatoli flourishedduring the Venetian domination, according to written evidence. It had also held a strategic position, as the great Venetian tower reveals, part of which has survived on the east end of the village. Nowadays Anatoli has preserved its traditional aspect. The picturesque paved paths (there are only two main car roads), the old churches, the amazing view and the dry climate make Anatoli the ideal destination during the whole year.
